Quote

“It costs a lot to make art, both emotionally and economically. Economic rights make it possible for artists to have a steady income from their work, and not only when an original artwork is sold for the first time. This revenue is an important part of my income and makes it possible for me to create new artworks. The resale right is an important source of income for artists, and besides, I think it is only fair that artists should gain from the increase in value of their works. Also, it gives me comfort to know that my son will be able to benefit from the resale of my works – income from my works will be his inheritance from me.”
